Coaching Highlights
Coached/tutored Jeremy Silverman (185'/65'4") from the age of 10. Jeremy went on win double gold at the PA State Champs and set a new state record in the shot. Jeremy was a scholarship athlete at UCLA and is now in dental school in Arizona.  

As a senior Ryan Whiting was the Gatorade National Track and Field Athlete of the Year, was the nation's top-rated prep in both the shot and discus.  He set PA records in both events and was also the Pan-Am Juniors double gold medalist.  Ryan, now a redshirt junior at Arizona State was #3 on the WORLD indoor list with his 2008 NCAA Indoor winning throw of 71'-3.5".  Ryan finished 6th at the 2008 Olympic Trials.  Ryan also has a DT PR of 200'-11".   Ryan came within an inch (discus) of winning double gold at the 2009 NCAA Champs and has now won three titles.

Joe Kovacs is now a redshirt junior at Penn State.  Joe had prep bests of 64-10.75 (19.78m) and 184-10 (56.34m), and like Jeremy, won double gold at the PA State Champs and set a new state record in the shot.   He has a collegiate best of 60'10".

Collin Ray just completed his senior year at Middletown Area High School and will attend Robert Morris College this fall (2009).  Collin is a two-time PIAA AA discus champion (172') and also won the shot title (57'1") as a senior.
